When I was young my favorite part of Halloween was pouring out my candy-filled pillow case and trading my unwanted candy for more delicious treasures. I would separate my bounty into three piles: candy that I would not for any reason trade, candy that could be traded if necessary, and candy that I needed to get rid of or else it would forever rot in a bowl atop my fridge. That candy that I would scarf down almost immediately was ranked as follows:
- Almond Joy
- Kit Kat
I know that all of you just let out a small yelp of astonishment upon reading that list, but let me explain myself. Almond Joy contains three of the most fantastic things known to man: milk chocolate, coconut, and almonds. Not only does it satisfy your sweet tooth, it passes as just healthy enough to eat for breakfast. Almonds contain large amounts of protein, coconut contains many vital vitamins like Magnesium and Iron, and milk chocolate has its own magical healing powers.
So this Halloween ditch the boring Hershey’s bars and add Almond Joy to the top of your no-trade list.
