CPS STUDENTS TO RALLY AGAINST ‘SCARY’ BUDGET CUTS ON FRIDAY THE 13TH

Over 500 CPS students are set to rally at Noon on Friday the 13th at the Thompson Center. Students will protest against budget cuts, which would potentially result in the loss of 22% of all CPS teachers mid-year. Two state representatives, community members, and CPS students will speak during the day. At 1:00 p.m. students plan to walk to City Hall and form a human chain in a display of solidarity, followed by a march to CPS Headquarters. The final destinations will be the Bank of America building and the Thompson Center.
