Going into summer, many people worry about what is and is not the latest fashion and whether they will be complimented or criticized for their wardrobe choices. As the fashion king of Chicago, I would like to give, you, the youth, some tips on how to turn heads and be the envy of all your friends.

Rule 1: Be Bold

When shopping for your warm weather wardrobe, you may be tempted to go with the regular, everyday white T shirt and completely pass on the more ridiculous looking sections. However, you must not succumb to that temptation, as these seemingly ridiculous looking clothes are what will bring you to the top of the “Summer’s Most Fashionable” list (a list made by yours truly). To get to the top of this infamous list, you can try fashion choices such as see-through shirts and very, very deep V necks. By going out on a limb with your fashion choices you will have the opportunity to set yourself apart from the rest of the masses.

Rule 2: Be Persistent

When first trying out new outfits, your friends may point and laugh at your stylistic choices, intending to hurt your feelings. While you may think that they do not like your outfit choice, they actually love it, but are too scared of change and jealous of your excellent fashion choice that they try to sway you from your decision. It may take a few weeks, but after a while of being persistent, they will learn to accept your choice and come to the realization that they will never look as good as you.

Rule 3: Be Persistent

Ladies and gentlemen, I cannot stress this point enough.

Rule 4: Don’t Conform

Many of your friends may also get compliments on rather non-unique and conservative clothes. Although you will be getting flak for your clothes at the beginning of the summer, you must resist the urge to conform to your friends’ wardrobes. The most important part of summer is differentiating yourself from others, especially the people you spend time with.

While you will never make it to the top of the “Summer’s Most Fashionable” list, as I will always reign the fashion champion, if you follow all of these rules, you may just get a close second.
