Last night, Tuesday May 3, Payton’s Local School Council (LSC) met from 5 to 8 after school to determine next steps in the selection process for Payton’s next principal. After an over three-hour meeting, the LSC narrowed down the current principalship candidates from three to two prospects. Community members were encouraged by the LSC to participate before and after the discussion. According to an anonymous source, the LSC decided to move forward in considering the current interim principal, Dr. Shabazz-Anderson, and Mr. Kuzma, the Assistant Principal at Taft High School, as the two candidates moving on to the final round of LSC voting. The final vote will be taken tomorrow, Thursday May 5. This comes after the student feedback form and teacher feedback form has closed.
This is a fine concise “breaking news” story.
